Looks like I won't be coming home for christmas. Or reading the last three books of WoT. I don't remember what happened and I'm not willing to make it through books 4-7 again.

Really? 4-6 are some of the best, 7/8 I can understand, but you could just start with 10 or 11, things will come back to you pretty quickly

Bought mine in Syracuse last weekend and am done reading it already. Will be starting a reread soon, overall pleased with both the plot lines resolving and the seamless blend of Jordan and Sanderson.

I think it was quite wonderful myself. I wouldn't call it completely seamless, though. The first chapter you could tell was different than normal, and Ch. 34 sticks out like a sore thumb, I honestly didn't like that one. That is, it just didn't fit. I'm looking forward to seeing what goes on as a result of the climax of the book. Very happy to see that happen, though the build up was... frustrating - but in a good way if that makes sense. Because you cared and wanted it to be done with I suppose. The other plot resolution from major char #2 from the book was just gorgeous. Especially all the mini-climaxes along the way.

re-reading that, I should clarify. Sanderson did a wonderful job blending into Jordan's world. I'm very happy with him taking this over (as happy as I can be with someone needing to take over), it was just those two specific spots were slightly bumpy. Everything else was great.

I must say that Sanderson does truly have a way of wrapping things up in a way that is impressive. What I meant by seamless is that Sanderson doesn't have any characters acting out of character, NOT A SPOILER JUST AN EXAMPLE!!! for instance Mat jumping up chasing after Tuon and abandoning the band to die while being happy about it. He grunts and groans against what he has to do just because thats who he is.
